The iconic Loon, awarded Honourable Mention at the 2026 West End Sculture Show, was inspired by 30 years living on Green Lake, where the haunting wails of a mating pair echoing across the water in the early morning marked the arrival of spring. Loon is made from bits of sheet scrap and discarded tools – files, wrenches, plier handles, small scissors, and cutlery. A wrench on her right side says MADE IN CANADA, making her, truly, a one-of-a-kind creation.
